About Tattoos

I spend a lot of times on Failblog, and lately I’ve been looking at the many photos at Ugliest Tattoos. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not against tattoos – I think that if you want one, you should get it. However, I think that before you get something permanent drawn on your body there are a few things that you may want to consider.

1) If you’re going to get your child’s or children’s faces tattooed on yourself, make sure you get a tattoo artist who can actually draw.

2) Getting your loved one’s name tattooed may seem like a great idea at the time, but you really never know what’s going to happen.

3) Spell check! Spell check! Spell check!

4) No one can spell the word “believe”. Double check or even triple check this one before getting it tattooed on your body.

Looking through the galleries of above mentioned website I’ve come to the conclusion that tattoo artists are either:

a) all illiterate
b) evil people who secretly gloat while they write wrongly spelled words on your skin with permanent ink.

    Oh dear…
Some of those are absolutely awful!!!
I have a few tattoos, but they have a lot of meaning to me, and meh to others they just look pretty!

Oh, I’m not making fun of tattoos in general (only the ones who can’t spell!). If I wasn’t so terrified of needles (and pain), I’d probably have one myself :)

I am TERRIFIED of needles :P but I’ll be honest, it doesn’t look or feel like a needle so it didn’t actually bother me.
Pain, I deal with each day, but I can say that it doesn’t hurt that much. My worst one was on my ankle/foot so no muscle and lots of nerves, but I can relate that pain to the feeling of sunburn and then scratching it, or having a kitty on your lap who is doing that weird thing of digging their claws in your leg when they are happy!
        Random comment there, oh well!
